FOND DOUX

Heritage Tour

Situated amongst cocoa groves, guests will not only smell chocolate throughout the tour but will also have the opportunity to participate in processing chocolate. Learn about cocoa harvesting, cocoa drying, and even the famous cocoa dancing.

On property trails learn about our wide range of organic fruit trees, tropical flowers, plants, vegetables and local spices. Many medicinal plants can be found around the estate as well, which are still used today in traditional medicines that have been passed through generations.

For an authentic experience, you’ll be able to sample organic fruits such as bananas, mangoes, apricots, grapefruits, love apples, guavas, star fruits, cocoa beans, and refreshing jelly coconuts hand-picked by the “Fond Doux Tarzans.”

During your tour be sure to watch and listen for the many indigenous birds and their unique songs. Your guide will even show you how to call the humming birds!

The Fond Doux Heritage Tour ends with a hike up the Lamontagne’s trail which offers breathtaking views of the Petit Piton and Sugar Beach. Because of our tropical climate, there is no “best” season to enjoy our gardens and property. Rather we invite you to witness our plantation’s natural beauty whenever you visit!
